Sutter Creek Fire Protection District

NorCal Β· District Β· Volunteer

Mission

The Sutter Creek Fire Protection District provides fire and emergency service to Sutter Creek and Amador City, historic Gold Rush towns on Highway 49 in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Amador County. It is a volunteer district: fire suppression, emergency services, structural fire protection for the dense 19th-century wooden and brick Main Street building stock, and wildfire preparedness and defensible space education. This Mother Lode country of steep oak and pine woodland, chaparral and former mine workings carries severe wildland-urban interface exposure.
