Mission
The Alturas Fire Department responds to all fire, medical, rescue, and emergency calls within the city, providing rapid, coordinated service 24 hours a day.
Alturas Fire Department has served the City of Alturas since 1911 and is staffed by 40 trained volunteer personnel supported by one full-time Fire Marshal who handles prevention, inspections and investigations.
