Mission

The Jackson Fire Department serves roughly 5,000 residents across about 32 square miles spanning the City of Jackson, the county seat of Amador County in Gold Country, and portions of unincorporated Amador County, from two stations. It is a combination, all-risk department: structural fire suppression, emergency medical care, vehicle rescue, aerial ladder and water tender operations, and hazardous materials response. Its service area runs from urban neighborhoods and industrial facilities through agricultural land into extensive wildland-urban interface.
