Mission

Corning Fire Department protects over 7,500 residents and dozens of businesses across just over five square miles of Tehama County, a Sacramento Valley city on the Interstate 5 corridor known as Olive City for the groves surrounding it, with three large commercial truck stops that concentrate heavy vehicle, fuel and hazardous materials exposure within its small footprint. It is a volunteer department working from a single five-bay station: structure firefighting, aerial ladder operations, wildland and interface fire response, light medical rescue, commercial vehicle and truck stop incident response, and fire dispatch.
